The multifunctional accumulator charging valve is designed for use in open hydraulic systems and is installed between the pump and downstream secondary hydraulic components, such as a power steering control valve and a hydraulic cylinder within the same hydraulic circuit.
The accumulator charging valve draws flow from a fixed-displacement pump to charge the accumulator as required. Charging is completed at a preset flow rate once the set pressure is reached, and the pressure is maintained constant within the defined pressure range.
During accumulator charging, the flow available to downstream auxiliary hydraulic components is reduced. This does not significantly affect their operation. As long as the relief valve does not restrict the transmission of pump flow and pressure, the downstream secondary hydraulic components can always access full system pressure.
The accumulator charging flow rate, as well as the upper and lower pressure limits of the accumulator, are factory preset.
